This Does Not Get Old

I never want to stop doing this. Period.

Me, very much a beginner, making something like...this? The thought still blows my mind.

See, I learned the crochet basics when I was around 15 years old. My aunt, ever the patient teacher, walked me through the granny square, not really minding the fact that I held my needle wrong (and still do - to this day), couldn’t keep my yarn on the hook (a consistent problem...lol), or that I lacked the slightest ounce patience for tangled yarn and would take a pair of scissors to it in a heartbeat (scissors are my friend). No, she worked with me painstakingly, month after month.

Apparently, she saw something in me that I did not.

It was worth the investment.

Here I am, over twenty years later - making things that people are willing to buy. Unreal.
